Organization size is one of the most fundamental variables in determining executive pay for nonprofit organizations.
Human Services (which contains organizations from the Crime/Legal, Housing/Shelter, and Youth Development industries, among others) made up the largest grouping.
Although organization size is paramount in the determination of CEO pay, there are some notable pay differences that can be observed across industries as well.
Median pay was roughly the same across most industry groups (hovering around the $100,000 mark) with the exceptions being found in Universities and Hospitals.
