In their latest World Economic Outlook (WEO) report, the IMF points out that, while they have increased their global growth forecasts from the October outlook, factors such as supply chain disruptions and existing pre-pandemic forces may serve to moderate that growth.

Scope of the analysis

An analysis of projections for 2022 salary trends across 71 countries was conducted to support businesses in next year’s salary planning and to help with salary increase budgeting.

In the Americas

Total salary increase projections are expected to be up on average 2% for 2021 from 2020 in the Americas, but change less than 0.4% in 2022, with median percent change at about 4.3% in 2021 and 4.4% in 2022.
